The sources of Shab e-Miraj can be followed back to the Holy Quran. The Holy Quran is the place where the occasions of Isra and Meraj are referenced. It is believed that he continued his journey to the Throne of Allah. There, he drank from the fountain of knowledge and would later come back to earth to impart some of this knowledge on his followers.

3 Gifts of Miraj
The Prophet Muhammad (SM) was brought three gifts for his Ummah, while he went to Miraj. They are-
- Five daily prayers equal to the reward of fifty daily prayers.
- The last two verses of chapter al-Baqara.

Shab E Meraj Prayers
There are no specific Shab e Meraj namaz. But most of us performed 12 Raka’t nafl namaz. In nafl namaz, recite Surah Fatiha in one time and Surah Iklas in three times. After the end of namaz, then recite this dua’s in 100 times “Subhanallahi wal humdu lillahi wa la elaha illal Lahu walllahu Akber”. Then recite this darud “Astaghfirullaha rabbi min kulli zunbin wa atbu elaihi” in 100 times. And then pray to Almighty Allah for your family, friends and all Muslim Ummah.
