Ratargul Swamp Forest

Ratargul Swamp Forest is the only one Swamp Forest in Bangladesh. It is located in Gowainghat Upazila, about 26 km from Sylhet district town. Rataragulo is a natural forest, local forest department here planted several trees including Hijl, Varun, Karach. Apart from this, there are 25 species of water-soluble plants, including Kadam, Jalibat, and Arjun. Forest size 3, 325.61 acres, and 504 acres of forests were declared as Wildlife Sanctuary in 1973. Bisnakandi
